The following are procedures for vehicle preparation after your order has been placed with American Auto Mover Company.

Have as little gas in the tank as possible, we will transport with full tank, however only a ¼ tank is preferred for efficiency purposes

Remove all items from the interior of the vehicle. We are licensed to transport only the vehicle. You may, at your discretion, place up to 50 lbs in the trunk. Please keep in mind that any items in the vehicle are not inventoried or insured.

When the driver calls to inform you or your predetermined agent that he has arrived to pick up the vehicle please give him directions to the location. If it is not possible for the driver to bring the truck to your or your predetermined agent's home, please choose a convenient location where you are sure the truck can load your vehicle (mall or department store parking lots work well).

When the driver arrives at the location he will perform an inspection with you and list any dings, dents, scratches, etc. the vehicle may have. Please check and sign the inspection form. A copy will be left with you or your predetermined agent. After your car has been loaded and is in route to the destination you may call us to find out the location and the ETA. Please allow 3 days before the first call to let the truck get established on the route.

When the vehicle arrives at the new location you or your predetermined agent will inspect the vehicle using your copy of the original inspection. Once you have verified that the vehicle is in the same condition as when loaded, please print name and sign the inspection
